SHIRLEY B. BERRY (CONGER)

     Shirley B. (Conger) Berry, 80, died Sunday, February 27, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.  She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Frank E. Berry Sr. who died in 1989. She is survived by two children, Frank E. Berry Jr. of Statesville, SC, and Betty J. Fay of Oxford; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Conger; and a brother, David Conger. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late David and Linnea (Carlson) Conger, and lived most of her life in Oxford.

     Mrs. Berry was a waitress at several area restaurants for many years. She spent most of her time working at Woolworth’s in Worcester. She was a member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary in Oxford.

     A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 465 Main St., Oxford.  Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lanessa Extended Care, c/o the Activities Fund, 751 School St., Webster, MA  01570.
