Joseph R. Miner, 85, died Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Mildred C. (Tallman) Miner; a daughter, Diane Kenny of Georgia; a brother, Theodore Miner of North Brookfield; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Joseph was born in Ware, MA the son of the late William & Mary (Plouffe) Miner and has been a lifelong resident of North Brookfield. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Joseph worked for 33 years at the Quabaug Rubber Corp. until he retired. He was a member of the VFW Capt. Albert Prouty Post, the North Brookfield Senior Citizens, St. Josephs Church and the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th degree Knight. Joseph was also a past president and member of the North Brookfield Sportsman Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Wedneday, November 10, 2010 from 9:45-10:45 AM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. The Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in St. Josephs Church, 296 Main St., N. Brookfield. Burial with full military honors will be in Worcester County Memorial Park In Paxton. |
