JOAN C. MCDERMOTT (GARABEDIAN)

     Joan C. (Garabedian) McDermott, 75, of Leicester, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010.

     Her husband, Raymond A. McDermott, died in 1998. She leaves three sons: Patrick F. McDermott and his wife Rita of Oxford, Mark S. McDermott and his wife Pamela of Port St. Lucie, FL and Timothy M. McDermott of Fitchburg; two brothers: Douglas Garabedian of Worcester and Richard Garabedian of Henderson, NV; two sisters: Pauline Fresolo of Worcester and Peggy Correa of Hudson; five grandchildren: Lauren, Alanna, Mary, Elizabeth, and Kathryn and nieces and nephews. Four brothers: Paul, Robert, Jack and Ronald predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Paul and Christine (Anderson) Garabedian.

     Joan worked for many years in the Leicester School system, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Park Congregational Church.

     The Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 18 at 10:00 AM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday, October 17 from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral home.
