EDWARD D. CORTEVILLE

    Edward Corteville, 76, died Thursday, July 22,2010 in St.Vincent Hospital.

    He is predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Mabel (Reep) Corteville. Edward leaves four children: Donald & his wife Susan and Doreen Martin & her husband David, with whom he lived, all of Spencer; a daughter, Jean Varley & her husband Terry of Barre; Kristine Corteville & her companion Robert Christian of Brimfield; his constant companion, Zoey; 4 grandchildren: Christopher Warner, Richard Leonard, Jennifer Sablack & Emily Powell; 5 great grandchildren: Leah, Kolton & Jaxon Leonard and Timothy & Zachary Powell of Worcester; many nieces and nephews.

    Edward was born in Brighton, NY, the son of Edward & Elizabeth (Baars) Corteville and has lived in Spencer over 50 years. He served in the Army National Guard for four years and was a US Airforce Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He served from 1955-1971 retiring as a Tech Sergeant.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:00AM in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer is directing arrangements.
