David F. Doyle, 73, of 26 Donnelly Cross Road, died Dec. 19, 2009, in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Sharon M. (Morrison) Doyle; a son, David L. Doyle and his wife Claire of Methuen; four grandchildren, David, Kathleen, Jessica and Sean; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Barbieri of Charlotte, N.C., Shirley Gay of Foxboro and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by four brothers and one sister. Mr. Doyle was born in Worcester, son of William and Gertrude (Bangs) Doyle. He was a machine operator at Pioneer Coverall Corp. in North Oxford retiring in 2001. He had formerly worked at Coes Knife and Harrington Richardson Arms both in Worcester. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He attended Worcester Boys Trade. He enjoyed woodworking. At the family's request, funeral services and burial will be private.
