ROBERTA C, ROBERTS (CARLSON)

   Roberta (Carlson) Roberts, 87, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at home.

   Her husband of 57 years, George A. Roberts, died in 2000. She leaves two sons, George Roberts and his wife Diana, and Douglas Roberts; two daughters, Ann Tardie and her husband Arnold, and Rebecca Ourant and her husband Andy; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves her beloved dog Percy. Three sisters, Arlene Backstrom, Ada Carlson, Charmian Turner and a brother, Robert Carlson all predeceased her.

   She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Gustaf A. and Florence L. (Conway) Carlson and lived over 60 years in Sterling. Mrs. Roberts taught school in Sterling for many years.

   A private graveside service was held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling is handling arrangements.
