   Norman F. "Babe" Letendre, 74, of 27 Bixby Street, died Thursday, July 3 in his home, after an illness.

   He leaves his wife of 37 years, Okyun "Tina" (Ming) Letendre; a daughter, Mary Ann DeGrand and her husband Kurt of Cleveland, Ohio; a grandson, Cameron DeGrand of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Linda M. Mandella and her husband Nicholas of Spencer and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by three brothers, Leo O., Edward R. and William G. Letendre.

   Mr. Letendre was born in Spencer, son of Leo A. and Stella (Tataronis) Letendre. He was an Oil Burner Technician at Bemis & Hobbs Oil Co. for 10 years, retiring in 1987. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

   He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 138 in Spencer. He was a former member of the Massosoit Golf League. He enjoyed playing baseball and golfing.

   The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 8 in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer at 11:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 9:00-11:00 AM Tuesday.
