Fred Manton Harris III, 74, of 5 Colonial Drive, died Wednesday, April 23 in Westborough Health Care Center. He leaves a son, David M. Harris of Santa Rosa, CA., three daughters, Cheryl A. Wentworth of Worcester; Ellen M. Belanger of Arizona; and Mary K. Young of Clovis, CA.; a brother, John Harris of Shrewsbury; a sister, Peggy Joseph of Woonsocket, RI., five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Fitchburg, a son of Fred M. and Kathleen (Merchant) Harris Jr. Mr. Harris worked security for various companies prior to retiring. He also worked for Central New England College, Bay State Abrasives, Co. and the home milk delivery business. Fred served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He attended Westborough High School. The graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 29, at 11:00 am in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. Pastor Judith Hanlon of Hadwen Park Congregational Church will officiate at the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hadwen Park Congregational Church Building Fund, 6 Clover St., Worcester, MA 01603.
