HEDWIG T PIGOGA (JESCZERZEWSKI)

   Hedwig T. “Hattie” (Jesczerzewski) Pigoga, 89, of Worcester died Thursday April 24 in UMass Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont St. She leaves her husband of fifty six years, Victor Pigoga, a daughter, Carol Elliot and her husband Scott of New Hope, PA., a son, Victor J. Pigoga and his wife Kim of Exeter, RI., five grandchildren, Brian and Devon Elliot of New Hope; Allison, Jennifer and Benjamin of Exeter; and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four brothers, Bronislaw, Andrew, Steven and Joseph Jesczerzewski and two sisters, Sophie Jesczerzewski and Nellie Gulbicki. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Andrej and Teofila T. (Aleksandrowicz) Jesczerzewski.

   As a wife, mother and grandmother, her life was devoted to her family, as well as, selflessly giving to others. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Hattie was a member of the VFW West Boylston Auxiliary, the DAV, Chapter 4, Auxiliary and the 5th Infantry Division Association. She enjoyed traveling with her family, crafting, cooking and attending army re-unions.

   The funeral will be held Monday, April 28, from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
