   Frederick M. Flint, 87, of Worcester died on Monday, March 17th, in his home after an illness.

   His wife Alberta L. (Auren) Flint died in 1996. He is survived by a son, Lawrence W. Flint of Newport, NH; three daughters, Linda M. Roy of South Venice, FL, Sandra L. McMenemy of Worcester with whom he lived and Judith A. Houlihan of Worcester; a sister, Grace Hanson of Holden; a companion, Eleanor Bagin of Worcester; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Flint was born in Shrewsbury, son of the late Thomas D.L. and Ethel M. (Brewer) Flint Sr. and is predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.

   Fred was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II where he received a Purple Heart and he worked for the City of Worcester School Department for over 30 years and retired as a groundskeeper at Foley Stadium in 1980. He was a member of the Worcester Lodge of Elks #243 and the Main South American Legion Post #341. He was most happy when spending time on the golf course and bowling with his friends.

   The funeral will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday, March 20 in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Wednesday, March 19 from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home with an Elks ritual at 7 PM.
