MARIE M THIBEAULT (FORTIER)

   Marie M. “Peggy” (Fortier) Thibeault, 81, of Worcester died on Saturday, January 12th after an illness in St. Vincent Hospital.

   Her husband Edmond L. Thibeault died in 2002. Mrs. Thibeault leaves a son Paul J. Thibeault of Brookfield; two daughters Diane L. Pelkey of Alburquerque, NM and Gail A. Litchfield of Worcester; a brother Jerry Fortier of Worcester; a sister Helen Popillo of Worcester; 5 grandchildren Everett Jr., Keith, Matthew, Richard and Laura; 3 great grandchildren Kaleb, Reagan and Rachael and many nephews and nieces. Mrs. Thibeault was born in Worcester daughter of Joseph and Marie Jeanne (Savoie) Fortier and is predeceased by a granddaughter Emily and a brother and a sister.

   Peggy worked as a stitcher for the former Brown Shoe Co. and later retired from Fairlawn Rehabilitation in the housekeeping department. She was an enthusiastic Red Sox fan and enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, cross stitching and spending time with her family.

   The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 16th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Tuesday, January 15th from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Church 929 Main St. Worcester, MA 01610.
