William A. Wall, Jr., 81, of 2 Burtenmar Circle, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in The Meadows of Leicester after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 17 years, Ann (Beach) Sherman Wall; two sons, William A. Wall, III of Sarasota, Florida and Peter J. Wall of Bradenton, Florida; two stepsons, Bryan L. Sherman of Beverly, Massachusetts, and William G. Sherman of Greenbrook, New Jersey; a grandchild Patrick J. Wall and two step-grandchildren, Michael and David Sherman. Three siblings, Anita, Donald, and Carolyn predeceased him.
Mr. Wall graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and then in the U.S. Army in post-war Germany. He worked for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for over 20 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7, in the Miles Funeral home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Columba Church, 10 Richard's Ave., Paxton. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Immediately following the burial at 12:30 p.m. family and friends are invited back to the Fellowship Hall at The First Congregational Church of Paxton, 1 Church St., Paxton.
