John A. Parry, 80, of Centennial Court died Sunday, July 1, 2007 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Joyce B. (Bellville) Parry who died in 1990.

Mr. Parry was employed for the Lincoln Precision Co. in Grafton for 12 years until his retirement in 1992. He was previously employed by Coppus Engineering in Worcester and Felters Co. in Millbury for many years.

Mr. Parry was born March 6, 1927 in Holyoke, the son of the late Arthur Clayton and Adella Anita (Renaud) Parry. A resident of Uxbridge for 2 years, he also lived in Millbury and Worcester for many years. He was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester.

Mr. Parry served in the US Navy, WWII veteran, aboard the USS Adirondack.

Mr. Parry was a former member of the St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Worcester. He was also a member of the Greenwood Street American Legion, Post #318 in Worcester and the VFW Post in Worcester. Mr. Parry enjoyed dancing, fishing and puzzles. He was a Red Sox and Patiots fan and enjoyed sports of all kinds.

Mr. Parry is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. and her husband Donald Podles of Uxbridge and Diane E. and her husband William Major of Strasberg, PA; one sister, Martha Beers of Bedford, NH; 1 grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, John R. Parry and two sisters, Dorothy Esposito and Madeline Crocker.

Funeral services, with Full Military Honors, will be held Friday, July 6, 2007 at 11 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Main St. (Rte. 122), Uxbridge, MA 01569. Interment will follow in the Worcester County Memorial Park, Richards Ave., Paxton, MA 01612. Visiting hours will be 9:30-11 AM, prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice Care, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
