DONNA L. JOHNSON

Donna L. Johnson, 57, of 6 Edith Lane, a lifelong resident of Rutland, died on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She leaves her sister, Marilyn L. Zoppo and her husband Robert of Rutland; her nephew, Daniel Zoppo and his wife Dawn of Plano, Texas; great-nephew and godson, Dominic Zoppo; and great-niece and goddaughter, Sophia T. Zoppo. Her brother, Robert Johnson, predeceased her. She was born in Holden, daughter of Frederick T. and Mary Agnes (O’Malley) Johnson.

Donna was a graduate of Marion High School in 1968 and worked as a technician for Verizon, formerly New England Telephone Company, for 33 years, retiring due to illness in 2001. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

The funeral for Donna will be held on Friday, April 13th, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main St., Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 12th, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Why Me?
