Gail A. (Ducharme) Johnson, 63, of Maplewood Road in Millbury, passed away, Sunday, March 11, 2007, at UMass Hospital. She leaves her husband of forty-three years, Leslie R. Johnson; two daughters, Charlene S. Johnson of Rochester, New York, and Lynn A. Jordan and her husband Brian of Rutland; three sons, Vincent J. Johnson and his wife Wendy of Oxford, Robert J. Johnson of Worcester, and Eric L. Johnson and his wife Karen of Oxford; a sister, Denise Jillson of Lunenburg; ten grandchildren, a great-grandson; nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte (McLaughlin) Ducharme. She attended Worcester High School of Commerce and lived in Worcester and Oxford, before moving to Millbury in 1984. Gail enjoyed collecting cookbooks and preparing the many delicious and interested recipes that were found in them; she also enjoyed tending her flower gardens and preparing center-pieces to adorn the dinner table. She found most joy in her family, grandchildren. The funeral for Gail will be held Saturday, March 17, at 10 a.m. The First Congregational Church of Rutland, 264 Main Street, Rutland (please go directly to church). Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Friday night, March 16, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. | |
