Elizabeth A. “Peggy” (Korkus) Pepper, 90, of Worcester died peacefully March 2, 2007, at home, after a brief illness. Her husband, Nicholas Pepper, died in 1981. Peggy is survived by three sons, Theodore Pepper and his wife Margaret, James Pepper and his wife Patricia, and Nicholas Pepper all of Worcester, a daughter Judith Ann Hannan of Largo Florida, two sisters, Statia P. “Kay” Savage-Gemma, and Helen J. Zukofsky, seventeen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a dear friend Lois Pepper. Elizabeth was predeceased by two brothers, Carl and John Korkus.

Peggy was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanislaus and Anna (Pechulis) Korkus and lived in Worcester all her life. She worked for the General Foods Corporation for many years and also the Mart Department Store on Main St., The Froshinn Club, and Clarion Suites. She was a former member of Our Lady of Loreto Church, and the Froshinn Club. She enjoyed dancing, was an avid bowler, and going to the Ice Cats games.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 13 at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton at 10:00 A.M. in the Prayer section. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the VNA 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608, or to a charity of choice. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
