RUTH C. SALONIS (YOUNG)

Ruth C. Salonis, 87, passed away peacefully in her home on December 28, 2006. She is survived by her son: Raymond Granger of Worcester; 1 brother: Frederick Young, Jr. of Leicester; a sister: Charolette Geary of Worcester; a granddaughter: Cynthia Wells of Connecticut; 4 great-granddaughters: Hawley, Sarah, Jenny, and Rachel; a great-great nephew: Brian Rauktis; a great-great-niece: Madison Fournier, as well as many more nieces and nephews, friends and relatives.

Mrs. Salonis was predeceased by her husband Felix of over 35 years, 2 brothers: Raymond Young and Herbert Young and 3 sisters: Laura Castell, Beatrice Fournier, and Madeline Young.

Ruth was born on December 6, 1919, daughter to the late Frederick Young, Sr. and Edythe (Nye) Young; Ruth was a kind woman who enjoyed bowling and loved helping people. There are no calling hours and funeral services are private; Ruth’s family requests that donations be made to the UMass Memorial Hospice Program. The Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St. Worcester, MA have been privileged to assist Ruth’s family with funeral arrangements.
