Anthony J. "Tony" DiLiddo, 79, formerly of Fales St., died Wednesday, November 1st in the St. Francis Home, Worcester. His wife, Shirley M. (Tellier) DiLiddo died in 1998. He leaves his 2 sons, Steven A. DiLiddo of Brookfield and Vini DiLiddo of Magnolia, MA; his daughter, Annette E. Denaris of Auburn; his two brothers, Joseph DiLiddo of Worcester and Vincent DiLiddo of Boylston; his sister, Lena Olson of Dennisport; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother John DiLiddo, and his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Kirby. He was born in Worcester, a son of the late Vincenzo and Josephine (Formiconi) DiLiddo and lived here most of his life. He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy, and then served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. DiLiddo worked as a sales associate for more than 41 years for the former John Bath Co., Worcester. He then worked for several years for the New York Twist Drill company. He loved family gatherings, and visits with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and a good meal. He participated in several area bowling leagues, and was an avid Red Sox fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, November 3rd from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 4th at 10 AM in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. | |
