   Robert A. Meservey, 76, of Worcester, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at his home after an illness.

   He leaves sons: George H. Meservey, Paul J. Meservey and Thomas C. Meservey, all of Worcester; two brothers: Harry E. Meservey of Millbury and Richard C. Meservey of Wayland; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. His wife, Anne T. (O’Brien) Meservey, died in 1994. His son, Michael F. Meservey, died in 1999. His brother, John Meservey, died 1998.

   Bob was born in Worcester, son of Harry E. and Katherine T. (Lester) Meservey and lived in Worcester all his life. He served in the U.S. Navy after World War II.

   Bob owned and operated several local businesses before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, cars and Indian Lake. He was a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post.

   Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Fri., August 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held on Sat., August 12th, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
