Joseph M. Giaquinto, 84, of Lyon Place, passed away, Tuesday, July 18, 2006, in Saint Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of nearly 60 years, Rose A. (Caputo) Giaquinto; a son, Joseph M. Giaquinto, Jr. and his wife, Kaethe of Worcester; four daughters, Julie A Norton and her husband, Raymond of Del Ray Beach, Florida, Joanna Ursoleo and her husband, Anthony of Sunrise, Florida; Raquel Foley and her husband, Thomas, and Jean M. Casey and her husband, Ralph all of Worcester; three sisters, Palmina Postale, Lena Ramm, and Dolores Wigren, all of Worcester; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a grandson, Keith Norton, three brothers, John, James, and Vincent Giaquinto, and four sisters, Nancy Papagni, Grace Cunha, Ann Bonardi, and Clemintine DiPinto. Joseph was born in Worcester, the son of Joseph and Julia (Pedone) Giaquinto, and has lived here all his life. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Giaquinto worked as a machinist for Foster Associates for twenty years, before he retired in 1993. He had previously worked for Arcade Malleable Iron. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Church, the East Side Improvement Club, and The Italian American Veterans Post 3. |
