Gilbert G. Mongeon of Worcester, died June 27, at UMass-Memorial Medical Center. He leaves a sister, Deborah, wife of Philip O’Connor of Worcester, and a brother, Ernest E. Mongeon Jr. of Holden. He was born in Worcester, son of Ernest E. and Sadie (Kruplick) Mongeon. He served in the U.S. Air Force including a tour of duty in Germany in a military police unit. He was a forklift operator for Winter Hill Foods, where he worked 23 years. Previously, he worked at Morgan Construction Co. The funeral and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park will be private. The Athy Memorial Home, Worcester, is directing arrangements. | |
