Clifford R. Darling, 67, of Main Street, died Friday, March 3, 2006, in Holden Nursing Home, after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 46 years, Beverly A. (Pane) Darling; a daughter, Anne C. Ramsey of Barre; four brothers, Wyman J. Darling, Jr. of Leicester, Robert and David Darling of Sturbridge, and Warren R. Darling of Holden; a sister, Beverly Guyette of Rindge, NH; six grandchildren, Anthony, Angelo, Gino, Xena and Vinny Ramsey, and Danielle Darling; a great-grandson, Cameron Darling; several nephews and nieces. A brother, Donald W. Darling, Sr. died in July 2004, and a grandchild, Nico Ramsey, died in 2001. He was born in Worcester, son of Wyman J. and Anna M. (Gulbiski) Darling, Sr., was raised in Holden, lived in Jefferson before moving to South Barre six years ago. Mr. Darling served in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner and operator of Darling Refrigeration in Jefferson for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He loved fishing, auto racing, wrestling, and raising birds. | |
