Joan A. (Harwood) Armenti, 66, of Worcester, formerly of 240 Belmont St., a retired food services worker, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, in UMass Memorial Medical Center — University Campus after a long illness.Her husband, Gaetano Armenti, died in 1988. She left three daughters, Linda A. McGill, AnnaMarie Armenti and Angela M. Moore, all of Worcester; a son, Natale R. Armenti of Shrewsbury; a sister, Shirley Menard of Sturbridge; a brother, Roger Harwood of California; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Three brothers, George, Donald and Richard Harwood, predeceased her. She was born in Spencer, daughter of George and Beatrice (Paul) Harwood, and lived here most of her life.Mrs. Armenti worked in the food services department of Hahnemann Hospital, now UMass Memorial Medical Center — Hahnemann Campus, before retiring. She was a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel- St. Ann Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker. The funeral was held from Arthur S. Manzi & Son Funeral Home and Garden Chapel, 179 Shrewsbury St. with a Mass in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Annn Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Donations may be made to a charity. |
