BARBARA V HILTON (JOHNSON)

Barbara V. (Johnson) Hilton, 72, of 51 Uncatena Ave., died Sunday, Sept. 23, in UMass Memorial Medical Center — Memorial Campus.

Her husband of 41 years, John R. Hilton Jr., died in 1990. She leaves two sons, John R. Hilton III of Sanford, N.C., and Joseph J. Hilton of East Brookfield; three daughters, Wendy A. Frost of Worcester, Cynthia J. Walker of Webster and Sandra M. Deschenes of Fort Valley, Va.; a brother, Olaf T. Johnson of Auburn; a sister, Nancy Hagstrom of Millbury; six grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Oscar E. and Agnes E. (Peterson) Johnson, and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Hilton was food service supervisor for the Odd Fellows Nursing Home. She previously worked at Telecron Co. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Ave. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester, MA 01606; or to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
