Mary A. (Bonorosky) Adamsky, 92, formerly of 351 South St., a winner of the Auburn Outstanding Citizenship Award, died Sunday in Sandalwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Oxford.Her husband, John S. Adamsky, died in 1972. She left two sons, Dr. Robert Adamsky of Bristol, N.H., and Paul Adamsky of Stockton Springs, Maine; three daughters, Victoria Fontaine of Auburn, Helen Gordon of Worcester and Dr. Cathryn Adamsky of Portsmouth, N.H.; a sister, Dr. Cathryn Handleman of Louisville, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, John S. Adamsky Jr. of Gilroy, Calif., died in 1995. Born in MacDonald, Pa., daughter of Andrew and Anna (Slatterinski) Bonorosky, she lived 60 years in Auburn and moved several years ago to Oxford.A member of the Chester P. Tuttle American Legion Post Auxiliary, Mrs. Adamsky was elected several times to each office, was Poppy chairman many years, and received numerous awards for her volunteer work with hospitalized and institutionalized veterans.She was awarded the John F. and Ethel B. Riley Outstanding Citizenship Award from the town of Auburn in 1979 in recognition of her work.She was a past president of the Auburn Parent Teachers Association and a member of the Auburn Women's Club. The funeral service was held in Britton- Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
