Subscription Update Obituary

     Walter D. Knox, Jr. 64, of the Rochdale section of Leicester passed away Friday, July 27.

He leaves his son, Sean M. and his wife, Angela J. Knox of Ludlow; a granddaughter, Hazel J. Knox; two brothers, Kevin P. and his wife, Cathy Knox of Spencer and Paul D. and his wife, Marian Knox of Columbus, OH; a sister, Joann M. Tuson of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Walter D. and Margaret M. (Shea) Knox and graduated from South High School. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the USS Independence.

Walter was a hardworking man who was an electrical mechanic for 40 years and retired in 2015 from National Grid. When not working, he would always find a project around his home, a family members, or a neighbors. He was known as the family handyman who loved to tinker with projects. He had a terrific (Knox) sense of humor and could make a joke out of even the worse situations. Walter had a love for the keeping cleanest and nicest cars in the neighborhood and would not dare to park near another car. Walter had enormous love for all his family and was a wonderful son, brother, father, father in-law and grandfather. He was a man who would give but never take.

Family and friends are invited to Walter’s Life Celebration on Thursday, August 2nd from 4:00pm until 7:o0pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, August 3rd at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding St., Worcester. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at support.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate.
