It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of the beloved matriarch of our family, Theresa, on June 16, 2021 after a short illness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all the lives she touched.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 66 years of marriage, the love of her life, Richard Blair of Worcester. Her children, Dennis Blair of Shrewsbury, Michael Blair and his wife Laurel of Worcester, Linda Leonard and her husband Brian of Grafton, Patricia Dupre and her husband Richard of Bluffton, SC, and Denise Mangini and her husband Michael of Rutland. She was predeceased by her brother Gerald Plante and her daughter in law Cynthia Blair.

She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren that she adored and loved each in their own individual ways. They all share the fondest memories of morning visits at Gram’s for her scrumptious crepes and never missed a dinner where she made her family famous pizza.

She was born March 7, 1934 in Worcester, MA, daughter of Joseph and Irene (Tellier) Plante. She attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School and graduated from St. Stephen’s Catholic High School. She worked as a secretary in her early years, then started waitreSsing at functions so she could be home with her children. She then found her home when she became a beloved waitress at Dino’s in Worcester, MA. She worked and retired from there after 25 years of service. She made lifetime friends with all her co-workers and customers who always asked to sit in her section. She always had the brightest smile when greeting them.

She spent some of her free time playing the penny slots at Foxwoods, loved her scratch tickets, and playing Bingo. She was known for her shopping skills and finding the best bargains around. Most of all she loved the impromptu visits from her grandkids and getting together for family events. She also looked forward to her monthly outing with the ladies from Dino’s which gave her so much joy in life. She loved to play the piano, crochet, and sew and was always willing to pass her skills down to whomever wanted to learn.

She will always be a part of us all in her own special ways.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Theresa’s life with a visiting hour on Thursday, June 24 from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.
