Patricia Louise (Lange) Benicaso, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Sterling Village Nursing Home.

Patricia was a beautiful woman inside and out who was loved by all. Her mission in life was to take care of her family, which she did with a heart full of love everyday of her life. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Patricia was born in Athol, daughter of the late Henry and Theresa (Tougas) Lange. She graduated from Athol High School, and attended Katherine Dell Secretarial School in Boston and upon completion, she went to Washington DC and worked for the Department of the Navy. This is where she met the love of her life, Jerry. She moved to Paxton in 1959. She retired from Jordan Marsh and later worked as a sales representative at Warners until 1995. Patricia was a member of St. Columba Parish where she was a member of the Women’s Guild. She also did volunteer work for ten years. Her hobbies included baking, sewing, knitting, bowling and listening to music, especially musical plays. Her fondest memories were made vacationing on Cape Cod with her Illinois family, and befriending Neil Diamond when she worked for Jordan Marsh. She was also an avid reader.

Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Stimpson; her brother, Henry Lange; and a granddaughter, Tara Marie Lang. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerry; her son, Bryan Benicaso and his wife, Deanne of Spencer; three daughters, Cheryl Dragon of Paxton, Theresa Lang and her husband, Bill of Paxton, Sharon Olson and her husband, Kevin of Douglas. She is a proud Granny of six cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Krysta, Stefanie, Brady, Amanda and Kimberly; and five great-grandchildren, Stephen, Jacob, Maison, Margo and Milo.

Patricia’s family is forever grateful to the staff at Sterling Village Nursing Home for their loving care and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Patricia’s family on Friday, October 19th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 20th with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 10 Richard’s Avenue, Paxton. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Patricia with a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
