Subscription Update Obituary

     John T. Mitchell, 67, of Spencer died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill at home.

He leaves his wife of 42 years, Bernadette Y. (Lussier) Mitchell, his son T.J. Mitchell and his wife Francine of Dudley, his brothers, Walter Marszalek of Okeechobee, FL., and Chester Mitchell and his wife Janice of Ware, four grandchildren; Alyssa, Caleb, Zeke and Evangeline Mitchell, nieces and nephews.

John was a general contractor in the Spencer area for over 40 years, retiring in 2017.

Born in Manchester, CT., he was the son of Walter and Catherine (Nivara) Mitchell, and graduated from David Prouty High School and later attended Worcester Sate College. He was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish.

John’s funeral will be held on Monday, Jan. 28 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, 60 Maple St., Spencer, 01562 or Second Chance Animal Services, P.O. Box 136, E.Brookfield, MA 01515.
