Janet A. (Lowe) Holm, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 25, 2018.  Born in Clinton, raised in Sterling, Janet spent most of her life as a Worcester resident.  She was preceded by her parents, Perley F. and Mildred L. (Connelly) Lowe.

A loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend she will be sadly missed by her husband of 51 years, Robert S. Holm; her sons, Daniel K.  and his wife Marsha of Oakham, Michael A. , Robert S. Jr. and wife Bridey  and William B. and his wife Shaye all of Worcester; two daughters, Lori Lauria and her husband Paul of South Grafton and Traci Robidoux of Sturbridge; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, who were her greatest joys of her life.  Jan took pride in her large loving family, including her five brothers, Paul, Jimmy, Howie, Robert and Kevin Lowe and her sister, Ellen Kosewski.

Jan worked for over twenty years as a driver and then monitor for students with disabilities, most recently with Van Pool Transportation. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending her summers at Hampton Beach. She looked forward to her children and grandchildren spending the weekends, cooking made to order family breakfasts and lobster dinners.  Her greatest passion was cooking for extended family and friends, entertaining and celebrating the holidays.

Services for Janet will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 am in St. Bernard Catholic Church, Our Lady of Providence Parish, 236 Lincoln St. Worcester.  Burial will follow to Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.   A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2-5 pm in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff in the Emergency Dept. and Critical Care Unit at St. Vincent’s Hospital for the wonderful and compassionate care they gave Jan.
