Subscription Update Obituary

     Shirley Ann (Bechard) Green, 65, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015, peacefully in her home with her loving family at her side.

Her husband of 35 years, John E. Green, Sr., died in 2003.

She leaves a son, John E. Green, Jr. of Auburn; a daughter, Tammy Marie McShera and her husband Kevin G. McShera of Spencer; 3 grandchildren, Benjamin Green, Carlee and Cullen McShera; a brother, Joseph Bechard; 5 sisters, Donna Bechard, Nancy Nugent, Patricia Colby, Cindy Peel and Mary Jane Tsimis; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Shirley was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kowalski-Donofrio.

She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Legor) Bechard and lived in Worcester, then Oakham for 31 years and then settled in Sturbridge the past 2 years.

Shirley was the cook-supervisor at Holden Nursing Home for many years.

She loved to travel and spending time with her children and grandchildren. To her, Family Always came First and she also enjoyed being the organizer for family events.

The Funeral will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 with a Mass at 10 AM at St. Anne-St. Patrick Church, 16 Church St., Fiskdale, burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.

Calling Hours for Shirley will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 5PM to 7PM at the Robert J. Miller- Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd., in Charlton.
