Ronald C. Werme, 65, passed away October 9, 2014 in Worcester surrounded by his loving wife and children. Ron leaves his wife of 37 years, Christine (LeBlanc) Werme, his children Kristen Hoell and her husband Gregory, Kelly (LeBlanc) Boland and her husband Michael, Russell Werme, Gary LeBlanc and his wife Sara and Ashley Tipple and her husband Ryan, his sisters Carole Ploss and Nancy Boswell & Vincent. brother Russell Werme and his wife Debbie, his mother and father-in-law Sarah and Raymond LeBlanc, 7 grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Molly, Emma, Myles, Isaac and Liam, several nieces and nephews. Ron was born April 29, 1949 in Beverly, son of the late Phyllis (Dempsey) and G. Russell Werme. For many years he worked at National Grid and Chase Paper. Work, however was not what defined Ron. He and his wife Chris found joy in their children, grandchildren and family. Traveling together in their motorhome created prized memories together, especially a cross country trip to Montana. Closer to home you were likely to find Ron enjoying time on the front porch watching the birds or in the middle of the loving chaos of family gatherings by their pool in the summer or inside their warm home at Christmas. Ron was a big fan of all New England sports teams, adored his Yorkie “Toto” and always found time to spend with his grandchildren who will miss their beloved “Peeps” & “Grampie”. For the past several years Ron and Chris looked forward to their many cruises with his family. He and his wife Chris shared their home and love with more than 50 foster children over the years. Without question Ron’s legacy is that of a man who left a world better than the one he found. Ron will be remembered for his sharp wit and love of family. He will be dearly missed. In lieu of traditional remembrances his family requests donations to a cause that was dear to Ron, Dana Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave. Boston, MA 02215 or online at www.Dana-Farber.org. All are invited to gather with Ron’s family and friends Sunday October 19th from 3 pm to 5pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton,MA 01536. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
