Subscription Update Obituary

     Rita F. Hale, 88, of Worcester died Friday, October 10th in the Jewish Health Care Center. Her husband of 17 years, Arthur L. Hale predeceased her. She leaves three sons, Norman Hale and his wife, Linda of Oxford, Raymond Hale and his wife, Louise of Shrewsbury, Malcom Hale and his wife, Alice of Rockhill, NY; a daughter, Barbara Wood of Webster; a daughter in law, Rose Hale of Spencer; two brothers, William Veroneau of Virginia and Robert Veroneau of Worcester; two sisters, Gloria Holmes of Holden and Betty Dahrooge of Leicester; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Hale; a daughter, Betty Gignilliat; a brother, Warren Veroneau; three sons in law, Thomas Gignilliat, William Wood and Thomas Gabis; and a granddaughter.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of William and Arabelle (Cleaves) Veroneau. Rita was self-employed for several years caring for the homes of many people. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Rita enjoyed arts and crafts and playing bingo.

Her funeral is Tuesday, October 14th with a service at 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, October 14th from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Health Care Center, c/o Activities Fund, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
