Subscription Update Obituary

     Raymond J. Lahair, Sr., 84, of Worcester died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Worcester, son of John M. and Josephine M. (Prunier) Lahair.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Irene D. (Gregoire) Lahair; three sons, Raymond J. Lahair, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Shrewsbury, Robert S. Lahair and his wife Patricia of Millbury, and Gary P. Lahair of Worcester; three daughters, Dianne M., wife of Robert Bernard of Worcester, Patricia I., wife of Thomas Mulcahy of Sutton, and Sharon A., wife of Glenn McDonald of Dudley. He also leaves 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces, among them Joseph F. LaHair of Holden. Two half brothers, John P. and Joseph F. Lahair predeceased him.

Ray was a member of the Local Teamsters Union 170 and worked for many years for Kesseli and Morse. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Ray was a charter member and Past Grand Knight of the Leicester Council Knights of Columbus #4528 and a 4th degree member of the Bishop O’Reilly Assembly.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 22 from CALLAHAN~FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday, October 21 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
