Subscription Update Obituary

     Michael W. Towle, 68, of Webster, a former longtime resident of Manchaug, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at home. He leaves a son, Shawn Towle of Manchaug; a daughter, Kelly Ann Graika of Southbridge and two grandchildren, Kristin Robillard and Garrett Magness. He also leaves his former wife Michelle F. (Goodrich) Towle of Leicester; three brothers, Frank O Towle of Webster, Mark S. Towle and his wife Dorothy of E. Douglas and Alan J. Towle and his partner Cindy Drouin of Athol; a sister, Kathleen A. Polselli and her husband Robert of Coral Gables, FL; many cousins, nephews and nieces.

He was born in Great Bend, Kansas, son of Nelson A. and Alice M. (Urban) Towle. Michael graduated from Sutton High School and was an accomplished baseball pitcher. He was very proud that he had the opportunity to tryout for the Red Sox. Michael worked for Cintas Fire Protection and Fire Supression Systems for many years. He also drove trucks for Valley Transportation. He was an avid outdoorsman and Boston sports fan and once served on the volunteer Manchaug fire department. He was a member of the Singletary Rod and Gun Club, Black Patch Muzzle Loaders and participated in primitive rendezvous. He was a former member of the Manchaug Boy Scouts Troop 104 and the Order of the Arrow.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 26 at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Arrangements are in the care of CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
