Marie E. (Andersen) Madaio, 85, of Worcester, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Holy Trinity Nursing Center after an illness. Her husband of 42 years, Philip R. Madaio, died in 1993. She leaves a son Richard P. Madaio and his wife Nancy of Worcester. Her brother William Andersen predeceased her. Marie was born in Worcester, daughter of Andrew C. and Martha E. (Dixon) Andersen. She lived in Worcester all her life. She was a graduate of North High School. Marie worked in the Diamond Products Division of the Norton Company for many years. After retiring from Norton Co., she worked part-time for many years at the Haig & Haig drugstore. Marie loved Louie, Richard and Nancy's dog. Louie was a great companion to Marie. Calling hours are Tuesday, March 24, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
