Subscription Update Obituary

Kenneth A. Ecker, 78, of Holden passed away at the Oakdale Nursing Center in West Boylston after a long struggle with diabetes and kidney failure.

He leaves his loving wife of 36 years, Kathleen M. (Rice) Ecker; a daughter, Stephanie Ruppert of Elyria, Ohio; four step-children, Terri Hidenfelter of North Attleboro, Michael Hidenfelter, his wife Amy, and their children Tommy and Leah of Bourne, Stephen Hidenfelter, his wife Kim, and their children Meghann, Kasey and Mark of Blackstone and Debbie Hidenfelter of Bourne; and five great grandchildren.

He was born in New Oxford, PA son of Howard and Alda (Brickner) Ecker and attended Penn State University.

Ken was a truck driver for Certus and National Carriers for many years, before retiring. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.

Visiting Hours are Thursday, September 11 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the
National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave #2, Norwood, MA 02062.
