Subscription Update Obituary

 Jean E. (Griffin) Mills, 88, died Nov.10, 2014.

She leaves her beloved husband of 64 years (65 on Nov. 26th) Norman G. Mills, three sons, Gordon and his wife Bonnie Mills, Bradford Mills, and Stephen and his wife Leanne Mills, two sisters Muriel and her husband Ray Moore, Martha Griffin and a grandson Michael Mills and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was born in Boston, daughter of F. Ernest Griffin and Mildred (McLean) Griffin she graduated from Natick High and Newton Wellesley Hospital and worked for many years as a nurse at the Lahey Clinic (Boston) and at the Holden Hospital. A long time member of the First Baptist Church and its choir, she also was president of Massachusetts Baptist Women and served three years as the Massachusetts representative on the Baptist National Board. She enjoyed traveling and painting.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 22 in the First Baptist Church, 111 Park Ave., Worcester, MA, 01609 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund of the church or to a charity of your choice. Callahan, Fay and Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, is directing arrangements.
