Subscription Update Obituary

     Adeline C. (DeMaria) Guerra, 94, of North Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband of fifty-one years, Joseph A. Guerra, predeceased her in January 1999.

Adeline is survived by a son, Joseph P. Guerra and his wife Lisa of Sturbridge; a daughter, Laura Kneeland and her husband John of Oxford; three brothers, Louis DeMaria, and Lawrence DeMaria, both of Florida, and Raymond DeMaria of Peoria, IL; a sister, Rose Marie O’Loughlin of Natick; four grandchildren, Andrew Guerra, Kristen Guerra, Paula Kneeland, and Michael Kneeland and his wife Beverly; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Anthony; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mathew Guerra and two brothers, Carl and Clement DeMaria. She was born in Everett, daughter of the late, Antonio and Catherine (LaCortiglia) DeMaria. She lived in Natick for many years, and attended school there. She later married the love of her life and together, they moved to Grafton in 1953.

Her Funeral and a Calling Hour will be held on Friday, July 25, with a Calling Hours from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a procession to Saint Ann Church, 654 Main Street, North Oxford, where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to Saint Ann Church, 654 Main Street, North Oxford, MA 01537 or to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 111 Young Road, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
