Subscription Update Obituary

     William H. “Mike” Peltier, Jr., 72, of Worcester passed away Sunday, April 13 at home surrounded by his family.

     He leaves his wife of 50 years, Frances R. (McKeon) Peltier; three children, Ellen Gammel and her husband Thomas and their children, Thomas, Keiko and Alyssa of Fitchburg; Kevin Peltier and his wife Susan and their children, Samantha and Mitchell of Sutton and Amanda Siano and her husband Robert and their children, Matthew and Mia of Pepperell. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. A sister, Patricia Benoit predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of William and Ellen (Lipsey) Peltier and graduated from South High School and served in the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

     Mike was a member of the Teamsters Local #170 and was a trucker driver for Yellow Freight for 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. and the Main South American Legion Post #341 and its Sunday Knights Group. He was active as a coach and officer in earlier years with Ty Cobb Little League and the Worcester Vikings. Mike loved spending time with family and friends, but especially enjoyed being with his seven grandchildren.

     A Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 16 from CALLAHAN AND FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Tuesday, April 15 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the Building Fund at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester, 01603.
