Subscription Update Obituary

     Ronald N. Jamros, 71, formerly of Spencer, died on May 22, 2013, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, De Lima Campus in Henderson. Born and raised in Worcester, Ron was the son of Walter and Irene (Fountaine) Jamros and lived 10 years in Spencer before moving to Henderson in 1996.
     Ron graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester Polytechnic Institute School of Industrial Management. He worked at Norton Company in Worcester where he served in various management positions throughout his 36-year career. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Worcester. He will be remembered for his kindness and love for his family and friends.
     He leaves his wife of 29 years, Joanne M. (Thunstrom) Jamros; two sons, Brian R. Jamros and his wife Lynn of Grafton and Michael Jamros and his fiancé Kim of Sutton; a brother, Richard Jamros and his wife Donna of Shrewsbury; 4 grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Sophia, and Carly; a brother-in-law, Earl Thunstrom and his wife Judy of Henderson, NV; a sister-in-law, Susan Sutkaitis of Charlton; and 6 nieces and 5 nephews.
     Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service honoring Ron’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron’s name to the American Heart Association , P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049, or Special Olympics Massachusetts, The Yawkey Way Sports Training Center, 512 Forest St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
