Subscription Update Obituary

   Robert E. Holt Sr., 70, of Federal Hill Rd., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Flora A. (Klopp) Holt of Oxford; six children, Celeste R. Pawlicki of Rochester, NY, Leslie D. Holt of Norfolk, VA, Timothy L. Holt of Oxford, Gregory P. Holt and Matthew A. Holt, both of Oxford, and Robert E. Holt Jr. of Yuma, AZ; a stepson, Leonard E. Himes of Niagara Falls, NY; a brother, George H. Morrow Jr. of Vero Beach, FL; a sister, Helen LaFlamme of Dover, NH, six grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three sisters, Madelyn Miller of East Brookfield, and Barbara Gilcrest and Eleanor Morrow, both of Worcester. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late George H. and Eleanor (Gabree) Morrow Sr., and was raised in Worcester and lived in Tonawanda, NY, before moving to Oxford in 1985. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

   Mr. Holt worked in the paint shop at General Motors Corporation in New York and Framingham for sixteen years, retiring in 1985. Previously, he worked at Continental Can Co. in Tonawanda, NY, for 13 years and cooked at various restaurants in the Buffalo, NY, and Worcester area. He was a member of St. Ann' s Church in North Oxford and loved woodworking.

   A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Ann' s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, with the Oxford Memorial Honor Guard participating. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann' s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford, MA 01537, or to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
