Subscription Update Obituary

     Regis H. Brooks, 89, of Worcester died Friday, June 14th 2013 in the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence. His wife of 64 years, Catherine M. (Bedard) Brooks died in 2011. He leaves a son, Armand A. Brooks of Kingston, MA; four daughters, Carol A. Johnston of Worcester, Rita M. Cardinal of Douglas, Amanda J. Aubin and her husband, George F. Aubin, Jr. and Faye A. Sargent both of Worcester; a brother, Raymond Brooks and his wife, Arlene of Middleboro; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nine siblings, Beatrice, Octavia, Ronald, Emile, Ernest, Reginald, Edward, Antoinette and Adelard.
     He was born in Lyndon, Vermont the son of Adolfus and Josephine (Sheltra) Brooks. Regis was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the former St. Charles Borromeo Church. He also was a member at the American Legion Tatnuck Post# 288 and the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council. Mr. Brooks was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Regis was a lifelong carpenter who enjoyed exploring the back roads of New England with his family. He enjoyed life and was devoted to his family.
     The family would like to thank the staff of the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence and the staff of Holy Trinity Hospice for their compassion and care during Regis’ illness.
     His funeral is Monday, June 17th with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street (Please go directly to church). Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, June 16th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue.
