Subscription Update Obituary

     Nellie T. (Bullock) Valley, 92 died peacefully Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Webster Manor. Her husband of 47 years, Phillip Valley died in 1988.

     She leaves one son, Robert Valley and his wife Marilyn of Eagle River, Alaska; one daughter, Beverly Smith of Webster; and one sister, Sophie Clockedile of Oxford. A loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Dawn, Brian, Robbie, Jennifer, Bryanna, Michael and Candice; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

     She was born in Worcester, MA, the daughter of the late Joe and Julia (Kotz) Bullock. She was one of 11 children predeceased by her siblings: Annie, Josie, Helen, Jennie, Julia, Mary Lou, Rosie, Adam and Joseph. Nellie was raised on the family farm in N. Brookfield and lived over 50 years in Spencer before coming to Webster to live with her daughter in 1998. She worked at area factories retiring in 1981.

     Nellie enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and singing Yankee Doodle. “Everybody loved Grammy Nell, everywhere she went”

     Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19 at 10 AM in the First Congregational Church Of Dudley, 135 Center Rd., Dudley. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley.
