Subscription Update Obituary

     Mary Lee (Robertson) Mockler, 91, of Worcester, passed away Sunday, February 3rd, 2013 in her home. Her husband of 59 years, John P. Mockler, died in 2010. She leaves a daughter, Nancy A. Mattson and her husband Russell of Worcester; a son, John V. Mockler and his wife Caroline of Dubuque, Iowa; seven grandchildren, John and Christopher Mattson, and Michael, Katherine, Brian, Emma, and Sarah Mockler; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Fred Robertson, and two sisters, Thelma Morgan and Ann Short.
     She was born in Davy, West Virginia, the daughter of Victor H. and Lillie H. (Robinett) Robertson, and lived here for many years and graduated from Concord College, West Virginia. Mrs. Mockler was a Physical Education teacher at Chandler Junior High School, for many years before retiring. She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
     Mrs. Mockler’s family would like to thank the staff of Christopher House and the VNA Care Network and Hospice for their care and a special thanks to her devoted home care workers, Jeana, Liz, Sharon, and Ashley.
     The funeral is Friday, February 8th with a service at 10:00 A.M. in Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
