Subscription Update Obituary

     Lorraine A. (Ploof) Lavallee, 80, of Worcester, died Thursday February 14, 2013 in her home. She was the daughter of Ella M. Ploof of Burlington, Vt. Her husband, Noe J. Lavallee, originally of Winooski, Vt., passed away in Worcester on March 11, 1989.
     She leaves three sons, Clifford Lavallee and his wife, Linda, David Lavallee and his significant other, Ron and Stephen Lavallee and his wife, Patti; a daughter, Barbara Vallee many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Shirley Martin of Burlington, Vt., and Reginald Ploof of East Millbury and nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Clement Lavallee; a daughter, Sharon Roy and four brothers. She was a member of St. Joseph Church at Hoy Family Parish. Lorraine’s family believes that all of Lorraine’s loved ones who have already made the journey home were waiting for her with open arms to welcome her to eternity and have encircled her with love. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital, the nurses at Metrowest Homecare & Hospice and Deacon Michael Mott for the compassionate care given to Lorraine.
     The funeral will be held on Monday, February 18 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, February 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
