Subscription Update Obituary

     Jean R. (Austin) Vosburgh, 76, passed away November 4, 2013 after a brief illness. Her husband of 58 years Donald “Hawk” Vosburgh passed away in 2011. She leaves three children, Donald F. Jr. of Dexter, ME, Pamela J. Fortier and her husband Steven of Sutton, Robert J. and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford; a cousin and her caregiver Marylou Strom of Auburn who lived with Mrs. Vosburgh; Five grandchildren, Heather McMahon, Donald Vosburgh III, Tracy Dencer, Kathleen Vosburgh and Tamara, eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Devin, Dominic, Jillian, Cameron, Ashlynn and Sammy, her sisters Carol Leite and her husband Al and Diane Cote, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Florence (Demrest) and Howard Austin, her brothers, Richard, William, Ernest, Howard and Ronald Austin.
     Jean was born in Worcester August 3, 1937, she lived in Millbury for many years and recently lived in Auburn. Those who knew Jean will remember how she loved to host cookouts by the pool at her home every summer, she bowled, played horseshoes, enjoyed country music especially at the Uxbridge VFW where she was part of a country music club and she never missed a bingo game. Jean’s family is grateful to the staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their compassionate care and kindness.
