Subscription Update Obituary

     James J. Henry, 88, formerly of Hacker Street, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Life Care Center of Auburn.
     He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Helen A. (Fuller) Henry in 2011. He leaves four children: William Henry and his wife Denise of North Grosvenordale, CT, John Henry and his wife Mary of Clermont, FL, Teresa and her partner, Stephanie Briggs of Salem, NH and Paul Henry of Worcester; three grandchildren, Susan, Kelly,and Brendan; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jocelyn and nieces and nephews. Four sisters and three brothers, predeceased him.
     He was born in Worcester, son of William and Sarah (Callaghan) Henry and was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre.
     Mr. Henry worked at Crompton-Knowles for many years and later at UMASS Medical Center. He was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Church.
     The funeral will be held on Friday, December 28 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 11:30 am at St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A Visiting Hour will also be held on Friday from 10:00-11:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St., Worcester, MA 01610.
