Subscription Update Obituary

     George H. Lacasse, 85, of Brooks Pond Rd., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill at home.
     He leaves his wife of 58 years, Joan J. (Mathieu) Lacasse; two sons, George P. Lacasse and his wife Susan of Spencer, and Scott J. Lacasse and his wife Doris of Spencer, with whom he lived; his daughter, Ruth A. Maxwell and her husband Robert of Hubbardston; a brother, Frederick Lacasse of Worcester, and a sister, Alice Falcone of Shrewsbury; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
     Born in Worcester, he was the son of Amadee and Beatrice (Boisseau) Lacasse. He later served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII and Korean Wars.
     George was a dock worker for the Local 170 – Teamsters Union in Worcester for 15 years, retiring in 1989.
     He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, bird watching and bowling. Most important, was spending time with his family.
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Summit Elder Care, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA 01507.
