Subscription Update Obituary

     S. Eunice M. (Soderberg) Barry, 90, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Sterling Village in Sterling. She was born on April 25, 1923 in Worcester, the daughter of Carl Manfred Soderberg and Maria Josephina (Anderson) Soderberg and lived in Worcester most of her life. Eunice graduated from the Worcester High School of Commerce in 1941.

     Her loving husband of 58 years, Wilfred Whitney Barry, passed away in 2008. She leaves a sister, Constance Crotteau of Portage, MI; her nephews, Robert C. Soderberg of Rutland, Paul B. Anderson of Rutland, James E. Soderberg of Madison, CT, Thomas C. Soderberg of Sterling and George F. Soderberg of Venice, FL; her nieces, Pamela J. (Crotteau) Seely of Saint Joseph, MI and Donna M. (Soderberg) Forsman of Holden; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Carl F. Soderberg and Bertel W. Soderberg and her sister, Elsa (Soderberg) Anderson all who lived in Holden; and her nephews, Richard R. Anderson of Millbury and Clifford L. Crotteau of DelRay Beach, FL.

     She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Worcester. During her life, she was a legal secretary for the Brown Law Firm in Worcester and worked at the “Mart” in Worcester for many years. She enjoyed walking, crocheting and spending time talking to friends and family.

     Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, March 21st at 11 a.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester, MA 01606.
